Today, I facebooked my friends about my upcoming birthday party, and told them to keep the date free. I got several responses telling me that's not possible, because that's the day the new Harry Potter movie comes out. FML

I would honestly have to agree. Opening night of Harry Potter matches no other.

pshh who wouldn't go watch Harry Potter instead *light bulb goes on in head* maybe you can have your birthday party at the movie theater!

honestly I don't care about the Harry Potter crap, but if its your birthday and what not, why don't you work your schedule around it, go to the movie, then dinner or have lunch then a movie or after the movie hang out and what not, unless you don't like the movie either.

you should just plan the birthday party on a different day if they are such fans of it...and they probably realize thats what you can do so this is why they chose HP coming-out day which cannot be moved over your b-day party which you can just as well do the day right after..

**** yeah! Just make it a Harry Potter birthday! I would so do that!

YDI. Even people that aren't hardcore Harry Potter fans are going. It's ridiculous to think you'd come between them and the movie[THAT WAS DELAYED, IT BETTER BE AMAZING!].

Go to City Hall and change your birthday on your official birth certificate. That's the easy solution. Don't **** with Harry Potter!

How preposterous. Even if the party were the same day as the movie, I would go to the party. As much as I like Harry Potter, it's just a movie and it will be on movie theaters for many, many weeks.

Couldn't you just move your party? It's still a month away, unless you booked some entertainment or something. Besides, Harry Potter is a totally legit reason for missing a birthday party. Your birthday comes once a year. The premiere of Harry Potter 6 will only happen once.
