Today, after driving a few hours late at night I decided to entertain the car tailgating me by not letting him pass. After doing this for 3miles, reaching 93MPH, I decided to let the car pass me. When I switched lanes, the car tailgating me light up in red and blue. It was a cop. FML

I slow down for tailgaters. Wouldn't change if it were a cop. It's one of those moments where you just pray a deer would jump in front of you so that you could slam on your breaks and the moron would crash right into you for following too close.

cops are trained for high speed and high stress driving, that means they are more skilled than you, no matter how much you street race at night....tailgating under 100mph is like parallel parking to them, they are aware of all the surroundings including what is going on in front of you, so if a deer would have run out, the cop would most likely brake before you, they are not worried you would slam on your brakes on them (on purpose) because you would most certainly get fined for destroying government owned property so stop ranting about cops

cops aren't superhuman. they make take driving courses but that doesn't change the fact I got backed into (I was parked) by one last month.

You realize that you shouldn't have cared right? If he tailgates, whatever. It's his problem if he runs into you. Then YOU get paid.

Yeah, it doesn't really matter what the cop was doing - you thought it would be fun to be an asshole on the road. Therefore, YDI (and whatever else is coming to you) for being an obnoxious prick. If only all the pricks of the world got theirs with such poetic justice. *dreamy sigh*

Lucky you don't live here. Going 90+MPH is considered "intent to kill" and is an automatic 24hrs. in jail. A ticket would've been your last concern.

The car "lit" up in red and blue. Learn how to write.

How could you not tell it was a cop? And why the heck were you going 93 mph?

LOL bet the cop their had fun x]

A few things: Are you all really unfamiliar with roads that are usually 1 lane each direction with passing zones? He just speeds up in the passing zone so the car can't get around. And when it becomes a 2 lane in his direction, he decides to allow the car to pass and moves over. Nextly, for doing 93mph: Roads like US75 have spots that are 70mph with no towns or anything for 50 miles. You are supposed to stay with traffic, and often traffic goes in excess of 100 miles per hour (160KPH), and if you are going slower than that, YOU ARE HOLDING PEOPLE UP. Deal with it. Speeding is legal in groups. Look it up. In Georgia, if you are maintaining the speed limit but that holds other cars up because everyone else is speeding, you can be ticketed for driving too slowly. No, really. Speed limits being decreased raises the number of accidents. Look up the statistics. People think "oh, I'm going slower, I'm less likely to crash," they stop paying attention, and boom. Just statistics.
