Today, while on the bus, I started a conversation with the person next to me. After a little back and forth, she finally said, "Do you think people will stop talking to me if I say I have aids?" FML

Please take the hint. Not everyone wants to talk to strangers. It can be pretty annoying when one decides to intrude on your silence without provocation. If you'd like to talk to people you don't know in the future, spend some time at an old folks' home. You can chat with them to your heart's content, and they'll be thankful of the company.

Not everyone is interested in talking to strangers, especially in a confined space they can't politely leave. You totally deserved it.

No, I’d go on and on about how wore ribbons, participated in walks and bought product RED stuff to support her and people of her ilk. Then I’d ask for tips on safe sex and hope for demonstrations;)

I work in London. It's practically illegal to talk to strangers on public transport here!
