Today, my little brother was feeling like the god damned bratty douchebag he is and hurled a basketball at me. It missed, hit the wall, and rebounded straight into his face. He burst into tears, and I'm now grounded because my parents believed him when he said I threw it at him. FML

Today, I had to take my little brother to the pool. He acted like a brat the whole time, and when I told him we were leaving, he ran away, slipped, and hit his face on the tile floor. He told my dad and step-mom I punched him. They believed him, and I'm grounded for two months. FML

Today, I got grounded for 2 weeks for slapping my brother after he threw a baseball at my head and hit my shin with a bat. He’s in 9th grade and I'm in 8th. He got ice cream to "cheer him up". FML

He'd already dropped it so many times that the whole screen was cracked to the point that you couldn't see anything on it, but for some reason, I am fully responsible for its destruction because I accidentally delivered the finishing blow. Well my brother ran me over with a snowmobile and blamed it on my GROWN ASS neighbor and my mum believed him and actually went to court about it. The lawyer was really cool, he had a marijuana plant dude smokin' a cig tattoo.

My brother used to do this sort of shit to me. Then I started actually hurting him, since as I was going to get into trouble anyway I might aswell. He soon stopped.

Well, you have a few options. Easiest one is to get him on record with you asking him if he's going to admit to your parents that he hit himself. If you can't manipulate your little brother into this, then I'd be surprised. Now to work the guilt with your parents. Ask them what they'd do if he WAS lying. Make sure that he'd get YOUR punishment, plus whatever he ought to get for lying in the first place. And make sure they'd say how they'd apologize to you, too. Play the recording for them. He's going to have to learn a painful lesson from this one, and SO DO YOUR PARENTS. This is NOT likely to be the first time he's pulled crap like this and if they are that oblivious, they need to be embarrassed and forced to actually respond appropriately. It really shouldn't be too tough to get him on record. Good luck with this one. My sister did similar crap for YEARS and it wasn't until I went to college that my parents realized that she'd been lying the entire time about doing housework and me "being bossy" and such, and before they noticed that SHE was the one being hateful and mean. Trust me, act on this now, because your little brother just found out he can do this crap and get away with it. And speaking from experience, you'll have many long years of dealing with this ahead of you if you don't make him and your parents cut it out, now.
