Today, my family and I were decorating the Christmas tree. It seemed a bit unstable, but we decorated it without any problems. Later, while my daughter sat by the tree, it began to fall. Her grandmother stopped the tree from hitting her. I, on the other hand, screamed like a little girl. I'm a 38 year old guy. FML

Sounds about right. Men usually scream like little girls.

Hahaha, my Christmas tree fell on me when I was 6.

Grow a pair so you don't shame the rest of the male race.

It's not so much the male/female part that is a fail, the age difference, or the lack of manliness. It's the fact that the OP is a father and panicked when the tree nearly fell on his daughter. I know that if I had kids and I saw a tree about to fall on my kid, I would be the first person to stand up and catch that tree. When you panic, you stop thinking. When you stop thinking, you don't respond effectively. That's why it's important never to panic, but to respond. YDI

I agree with #49 You should have responded but I can see how anyone, male or female, of any age could scream and freak out in worry of their child.

I agree with a bunch of people here. If you knew the tree was unstable, why didn't you fix it? isn't that your responsibility? Glad I'm not you. Hope you get some balls someday.

THAT IS Y YOU WIRE THE DAMN TREE TO THE WALL DUMB ASS!!!

nice to know you cant stand up to a christmas tree for the sake of your daughter not getting crushed :) parent of the year award?
