Today, my boyfriend of 5 years admitted why his pet name for me is "his beautiful swan". Apparently, the first few years we were dating, he and his friends secretly referred to me as "the ugly duckling" because my sister was so much hotter. FML

Surely thats not an FML? His friends are obviously pricks. As long as he loves you, and you have your own friends that you get on with: that's all you need. **** their opinions, you should just be glad he doesn't care what his friends think.

Isn't it all that matters is how he sees you NOW? I think everyone missed the fact it was him AND his friends who called her this behind her back. I'm so happy I don't have a sister though.

And the fact that the description of Bella exactly matches what the author looks like. Hmm, coincidence? Nope. She's a Mary Sue. The series is poorly-written and only catches the interest of young females who like teenage cliche romance novels, thinking there is the perfect man out there just for them and should be shallow and narrow-minded enough to believe they should not accept anything less than perfection. *sigh* Okay, I'm done Twilight bashing.

Twilight is annoying for a number of reasons but especially because everyone in her life is BEAUTIFUL. "my Edward is so beautiful ad our daughter is beautiful and Jacob is beautiful and we live in our beautiful house with our beautiful vampire family!" it's as if you have to be "beautiful" to be of worth. And yes, the "Bella swan" thing is so pretentious it makes me want to cry.
