Context is important, so don't jump to conclusions. Maybe he was texting a friend who doesn't like you, and lied about intending to break up with you to get said friend off his back. Maybe a friend stole his phone while he was passed out or something and tried to prank you with that text. Not saying it's likely... just saying, don't jump in and do something you might regret.

Why? Is the guy not allowed out of a relationship? If I had a boyfriend and he broke up with me, I wouldn't be happy, I'd definitely want him back, but I wouldn't say he's a bad person for leaving a relationship he didn't feel was working.
