Banana_Lord tells us more.
Hi, OP here. I guess I should explain this a little better. On the last day of school, we have a big awards assembly and then hand out yearbooks at the end. Our yearbooks always have a theme and the people in charge do a little skit at the end of the assembly. Our theme this year is fairy tales, thus the unicorn costume (our mascot isn't a rainbow unicorn lol). I'm editor in chief so I can't just back out, and the other people involved are really excited about the skit, so I'd hurt their feelings if I told them how stupid I think it is. I ended up trying to get out of it by telling them I couldn't make it to the rehearsal, but they just switched my part to the narrator. Not quite what I was hoping for, but at least I don't have to do anything embarrassing. You guys' comments made me laugh, and for all the people who said they would love to dress up as a unicorn, to each their own I guess!

1. they probably can't force it on you. if you're uncomfortable with doing something than say so. dont do something you'll hate. literally spell it out for them that they either find someone else or there's no unicorn. besides don't worry about burning bridges now, once you go to college or into the workforce the bridges decay anyways. but yeah have a clear voice. 2. that being said there's no shame in being a unicorn. let the inner unicorn flow through you. act as ridiculous as possible and just have fun with it. sing how you wanna live in harmony harmony with everyone. (robot unicorn attack reference). one of my friends signed up for the university role model event only because the talent portion was the first event and he wanted an excuse to wear a horse mask and dance on stage like a horse. he was basically making fun of it and expected to be kicked off stage. he actually was voted into the next round and had no idea what he should do for the other portions! 3. remember though that you're what matters most. if you don't speak/act in your own interests no one will. so if you still remain uncomfortable then i suggest not doing it.
LUCKY
what happens if you're REALLY late that day? or call in sick for the skit?
Sounds like more fun than FML :D
Seniors always do silly things at the last day...don't worry about it you won't be the only one being laughed at
And your problem with that is...
I don't see the problem.
just make them laugh

It's not a bad thing to go out of high school in a bang. You'll like college way more anyway
