Poor little squirrel. You may have an opening on your roof that he used to get in -- better find it and close it to prevent more little critters from moving in to your house. You can persuade him to leave with a few moth balls -- they hate the smell and it is very effective in a closed space, like between the walls. Worst case, call animal control. Squirrels can have rabies, so don't try to catch it yourself.
