Today, I was at work when a 10 lbs container fell off a high shelf and hit me in the head. Good news? The container is fine. Bad news? I now have a bruise that looks like I got punched in the face and my head hurts so much I can't even sleep. My 8 hour workday starts in 6 hours. FML

If it happened at work, get them to pay for you to go to the hospital and have a few days off to recover. It is the law that they at least offer to write a report. You can't wait too long though, and do not start working beforehand or your claim is no good.

I personally think you should still get a check over- it isn't unheard of for supposedly minor head injuries to cause bleeding that causes the victim to suddenly collapse. It also occurred at work so the business is still partially culpable for the incident. Better safe than sorry.

Hey guys, it's ok. It was kinda my fault anyway. At least the bruise is starting to go away.

Your fault or not, it's a head injury. If you haven't gotten it checked by a competent medical professional, do so now.
