I hope you really started pulling to get your finger free. That would be the only way. But ouch. I've had my finger caught in a door once. ONLY ONCE. I now never put my finger near door frames anymore. At least you leaned a lesson. "door frame + finger = pain". I hope you don't lose your nail either. Losing a nail looks gross for awhile.

I have only stuck my finger in a door once as well. Car doors can be brutal to little kids who are not paying attention. I have a nice scar on my finger from the stitches.

I closed a door on my toe once, and it pulled my toe nail off... Its been 7 months and still has not grown completely back. Gross

I had a similar experience except my keys were in the opposite pocket and I had to ask an elderly lady to retrieve them
