This is, unfortunately, where most women go wrong. Having a boyfriend doesn't mean your entire world needs to revolve around him. He needs his liberty, you need yours. So take the hint (however blatant) and quit being so damn clingy. And, as with many guys, don't expect him to come out and say something mushy and flowery, it's...just not something they do.
Perhaps it was said in the context of a sarcastic type of joke, as in he was trying to laugh himself out of an uncomfortable situation? Some guys can freak when they hear those words... even more so if they are not to the same point in their feelings. Talk to him about it... it is still possible that he may fall in love with you and you may be a happy couple forever. Or Not. I just don't understand all the "dump him" comments and not one person says to talk about it? Talking and being able to understand each others thoughts and feelings is the number one defacto requirement for a good relationship. If he is a jerk (you shouldn't be dating him to start with... should have been other clues) then you can "dump him". Otherwise maybe it just is going to take some time. good luck either way buck-o.
easy....... don't be so clingy from now on..... see how long it takes for him to wonder why your no linger into him
He's probably freaked out because you're moving the relationship too fast. Or he's a douche. Either way, YDI.
I agree. Whatever way you look at it YDI. He's either an asshole and you are too dumb or too desperate to figure it out or you are being way too clingy, needy, and emotionally immature for a normal relationship.
your name makes me sad :(
You should always wait for a guy to say it first.
then why is he STILL your boyfriend? you're dumb.
You sure he wasn't joking around? My bf would do that a lot, he would even joke about breaking up with me.

Clingy and annoying does not equal love. Clingy and annoying equals breakup.
Well, why that does suck, it could have been a worse response: "I hate you." "I love your mom." "I love your brother." "I had sex with your dog." "Your entire family has been slaughtered and I wrote 'I love you' with their intestines." "Nice ****!" "About a half past 3." "That just scared the shit out of me." So don't feel too bad.
