Pleonasm, who's that in your profile picture? It kinda looks like Nathan from Misfits.
It's-a me, a-Pleonasm! However, I'm not sure exactly, I'll have to check...
I am really amused by the amount of people here claiming that it's not that big a deal that OP's girlfriend (?) has so much facial hair. Where are all you nice people in daily life? In the world I'm living in, looks matter and ugly people are frowned upon/mocked at. But now we're on the internet and suddenly, it's all about personality and looks are just a surplus. Gimme a break. Here's some honest advice: say how much you would appreciate it if she waxed her face, all while you try the best you can to give her no reason to post a FML.
And where exactly do you live? Please be precise so I know never to move there. Ugly people are mocked and frowned upon? Seriously? In my world people are able to look beyond someone's face and see the brain that lives behind it.
44- She is partially right. I can speak for NYC when I say if a women walked through the streets with facial hair she would get many dirty looks. Idiots assume without thinking their may be a reason behind it. It wouldn't go as far as mocking and/or frowning upon, but something along the lines of numerous dirty looks and sneers.
Maybe you live with more mature people than I do, Doc, wouldn't be so strange considering your work and age. I can only say that the words some friends, pupils or teachers said about those who where/are considered ugly, have shocked me. Therefore, I doubt the honesty of the posts here.
Judgment of others based on looks may seem primitive, but it's still something that we all do on a subconscious level. Many abnormal traits will be unattractive to a large segment of the population due to biological directives that equate these differences to outward signs of disease and/or undesirable genetics. Some of us are able to see this phenomena for what it is and stop using these basic instincts to dictate how we treat others. However, I have come to realize that expecting this level of sophistication from everyone in the general population is unrealistic.
I agree completely. Well said and more true than all of the other "It ain't no big deal" replies. Thanks for a refreshing bit of honesty and reality.
Teach her how to shave
It depends on the length/how recently it was shaved, I'd say.
That's shallow
OP, ask her to shave. The least she can say is no. I disagree with the people saying appearances aren't everything. If I were a guy, personally, I wouldn't mind. But not everyone thinks the same way. If it bothers him, he needs to find a way to change it.

Shave less...problem solved.
That's not too big a problem. Appearence isn't everything.
