When This College Student's Mugshot Went Viral, Everyone Demanded A Makeup Tutorial

On February 6th, Marshala Perkins-- a self taught makeup artist, had just finished doing a Facebook Live makeup tutorial. As she prepared to go out with some friends afterwards, the 19-year-old Texas A&M University-Commerce student was approached by two police officers in her vehicle.
"[One officer] asked me for my handicap sticker because I was in a handicap spot," Marshala said, clarifying to As/Is that her mother whom she often drove around was handicap. "I gave it to him and he brought it back, said everything was clear."
Regardless of Perkins' proof of permit the police officer allegedly ended up searching her car due to an weed smell, and finding two grams of weed.
The end of the story should just be that she went to jail, but you know there's gotta be a little more to it here at FML. When Twitter account @mugshotbaes posted Perkins' mugshot, things got interesting.

The response to Perkins' beautiful mugshot was not exactly what she expected... or really, what anyone would expect about their mugshot floating around on the internet.

"At first I was embarrassed because that’s not really something that you want to be broadcasted," Perkins said. "But then when I saw all the support for me with my face beat—because makeup is something that I really wanted to do—I was like 'Okay!' I wasn’t feeling too bad about it.”
One would hope that this would not exactly be your 15 minutes of fame, but Perkins took full advantage of the situation.
