You didn't for a moment think that a red thing that you only find in the handicapped stall and no other stall might have absolutely nothing to do with the operation of the toilet?

First of all, everyone shits. No need to muster courage to do in public a basic function we all do on a daily. What most people don't do is use the disabled toilet and assume red string that is not in any other toilet would flush said toilet.

Ah, but she's a uni student. Right there is her disability, as well as her most likely being a women's studies major. They need their "safe spaces", you know.

TL;DR: public bathrooms are gross and potentially unsafe, so using them can be a source of anxiety for more than a few people. Let it go. It doesn't affect you, and mocking someone's anxiety is something an elementary school bully does, not something a grown adult does.
I am extremely uncomfortable when using public toilets. A lot of people, especially women, are. They're grosser than your toilet at home, and anyone can just go barging in. At a minimum, that's disruptive to the peace. Sometimes, it's a lot worse. People's kids crawling under the stalls and talking to you while making eye contact as you're sitting on the toilet is a not-too-uncommon occurrence these days, since parents in my generation have, as a whole, given the responsibility of parenting their children over to mobile devices. People have also gotten raped and murdered in public bathrooms, although those are both rare. Either way, a lot can go wrong when you've literally got your pants down, making you vulnerable. More and more people are getting uncomfortable with or even anxious about the thought of using a public restroom.

So women shouldn’t go to college, but if they do, they can only be a women studies major? Also, women studies is important, acknowledging the need for equality and honor women who did important things.

Are you seriously mansplaining how using a public restroom can be uncomfortable? BTW- I am a woman and have experienced accidentally being barged in by a man and not so accidentally by misbehaved children. That is just life. But thank you for telling me! lol.

Regardless, defecting is a normal bodily function which should not cause anxiety in a safe(r) space.

They need to just get rid of the today part of the FML. Weave been seeing stud from Christmas and new year for about a month it’s about to be February. I can understand Maybe a week after Christmas because of the moderation but after that no more.

Totally understandable!
I had never seen these red strings before I had to spend a half year in hospital some years ago, so you have my deepest sympathy!

At least now you know for next time👍
