Today, while planning for our trip next spring, my friend told me that she's decided that her mom is coming with us. It’s non-negotiable. FML

Of course it’s negotiable. Your counter-offer is “No fucking way!”

Repeat after me: "then you are not coming."

At least you get to go on trips. You can always chose to not go with your friend and her mom. Some people would just be happy being able to go.

Of course it's negotiable. Mom comes, you stay. Mom can have your ticket and you spend quality time alone.
