Today, my friend and I taught a very involved healthy nutrition program to underprivileged youths at a local center. We even made them a healthy snack at the end of the program. Within minutes of the program being over, we catch some of our fellow volunteers feeding the kids Oreos. FML

give a man a fish, he will eat for a day. Give a man a packet of Oreos, he will eat for a day, die of heart disease, and there will be plenty of fish for someone else

Did they teach them the correct method? - twist, lick, dunk?

Apparently your profession is not appreciated. Didn't they teach you that in school?

health food sucks ass most of the time

Well, another thing to teach them is moderation. A few oreos now and again is perfectly fine. It does seem counter-productive since it wasn't part of the class. Your coworkers are dicks. And a generous serving of fish is very healthy... and satisfying;)

you cannot eat just 4 oreos. that's like mission impossible!! oreos are the most addicting snack food in the world !

healthy food is good but after the program im sure the kids enjoyed a reward for going through the entire program plus Oreo's are expensive and they are underprivileged hehe XP

well if the are "underprivileged " then I think they deserve a few oreo's

Oreos > your nasty health food

they could have been numanos. there organic oreos

2: People like you bug the hell out of me... Seriously, healthy food is all the shit you eat - the extra added nasty stuff that is bad for you and that the people that made your food put in just to save money. ( a lot of the time ) I've eaten healthy food all of my life, and I don't get whats so horrible about it. I still eat sweets... But not the ones that are going to make your liver shut down. Look up aspartame for instance...

that's what she said XD

*winces* except for the twist part....

Except for the twist part? Mirorbo, what kind of kinky stuff are you into? The other actions seemed preferable to "twist" (ok, dunk is open to interpretation).

by twist I think he means taking the sandwich apart.... lmao yes I had to think about that onee

I'm in the mood for a salad now!~ I honestly don't see why it's so hard to eat healthy. Not all healthy food is icky.

exactly. it's all about habits. unfortunately, so many people are being raised on junk, and so they will only like junk cause that's all they know.

Travel to the hood and take a look for a grocery store. They're few and far between and the healthy stuff in them costs three times what the rest does. Teaching broke people that they'll never be able to afford to eat healthy is just mean op.

Three times more? A bag of chips = 1 euro. Two appels = 1 euro. If they can't afford that when they're grown-ups, something is very wrong.

RedPillSucks 31

TheDrifter is right. If you go to a poor neighborhood, you'll see that usually there is not much of a selection of healthy food. When there is any, it's way more expensive than the junk. Junk food is like a pasifier. If you're poor and trying to stretch your money, what do you do? Focus on nutrition and not have enough to pay the rent?

Why is this an fml? I don't give a shit. Oreos are badass.

even underprivileged children deserve Oreos sometimes...

Oreos are too awesome to say that your life sucks. you deserved it for telling them not to eat bad foods, making them want Oreos even more..

No one likes to be healthy. Get to the program.
