Today, my father, who I haven't spoken to in over 12 years, contacted me. He just wanted to let me know that I should get tested for a rare neurological disease. The only thing the man has given to me since my conception is potentially a death certificate. FML

I’m sorry this happened to you, but at least he contacted you about it! If you have whatever the disease is, now you have the chance to take symptom relief medicine for it.

Huntington’s Disease? At least you have a heads up on knowing whether you have it or not and can deal with it.

Some can be headed off with meds and therapies to slow them down if caught in time. If you can find it before symptoms show, that can save your life. If you educate yourself on the disease, you will know the early symptoms so you can get retested. I wish they found my issues when I was younger. It’d be much easier to manage them.

Today, my wife faked being kidnapped. She composed a ransom letter and made calls from her phone screaming for help frantically and hanging up. I got the cops involved. Turns out it was all a scam, because she “wanted to see what I’d do” because apparently she “hasn’t been feeling loved” lately. FML

Today, it's my ninth day off work. I should have been back 4 days ago, but whilst resting a swollen knee at home, I got a hair stuck in my eye so badly that I had to go to A&E at 4 a.m. to get it taken out. Now work won't let me come back until the resulting conjunctivitis clears up. FML

Today, my boss was angry at me because I had filed a complaint about him refusing to change our phone service to something more reliable. Later, a customer called him and said I had hung up on him. I got fired. I didn't hang up on the customer, the phone service just dropped the call. FML
