While I understand it’s an arguement and you may be fine 99% of the time otherwise, why can’t you kick him out if this continues? I know plenty of folks who’ve done it.

YLS. But, being a smoker myself, I have to say that my boyfriend, and my father, (who also smoke) would have people, myself included, buy THEM cigarettes, simply because of how completely INTOLERABLE they became without them!!

I smoke, and have never become intolerable if I don’t have any, but that’s because I never run out. I always have made sure I have enough cigarettes to last between pay checks.

It’s not OPs fault that her idiot brother ran out of cigarettes and she doesn’t have to spend her $5-$10 on her brother.

My boyfriend and his roommates are both smokers. My bf’s paycheck always hits before his roommates, and the roommate always begs my bf to go get him a pack of cigarettes when it does. Not because he’s out. Just because he wants a name brand pack and not the roll your own they always have on hand.

This same roommate owes me $40 because he kept asking me to buy him packs saying he’d pay me back. I don’t buy him anything anymore. My bf has only asked me once to buy him cigarettes, and he paid me back that day.

Wow sounds like a lot of family issues. That was pretty low and immature of him to throw other irrelevant topics into the cauldron of the argument. I would say it’s great you’re trying to help him but if you can’t get along and esp. if he has healthy habits you don’t agree with, see about him staying with someone else or firmly push him towards preparing to stand on his own two feet. He may be blood and you can surely support him siblings wise but doesn’t mean you have to put up with immature bs
