Today my boyfriend of one year dumped me. When I started crying, he said, “want to know something that will make you hate me so you won’t be so sad?” and then told me he’s been cheating on me with multiple women, the entire time we’ve been dating. He thought that would comfort me. FML

I don’t know about comfort, but it should educate you that you’re a pathetic judge of character. Luckily, you only wasted a year on this scumbag and will learn in the future how to sort the wheat from the chaff.

Well, I've been cheated on a couple times, and it actually WAS a relief that I found out I was wasting my time- sooner as opposed to later. Didn't make it hurt any less at the time, but years later I felt thankful. Sorry OP!!!
