Today, my boyfriend came over with a broken engraved bracelet that I paid 50 dollars for. I was so angry but when I stated "I am going to call them and get a new one!" my boyfriend said back to me "No it's okay, I didn't really like it anyways." It was for our 2 year anniversary. FML

Today, my boyfriend bought me an engagement ring. It turned out to be the wrong size and we had to return it, since the store said it couldn't be re-sized. As we headed home, I felt guilty, so I turned to him and apologized. His response? "It's OK honey, I didn't really want to marry you that much anyway." FML

Today, I went to Tiffany's to exchange a bracelet my boyfriend had given me for our year anniversary. It was the first gift that he actually spent money on me for. The sales lady then told me that the bracelet was not a real Tiffany's item. FML

Today, my boyfriend of 3 years donated his promise ring at the temple for it to be used to construct the idol's feet. The problem is that I made that ring for him from scratch and he didn’t even have it for 2 months. He was excited when he told me, and doesn’t understand why I’m upset. FML

ya know, at first, I would be angry, but I think it'll help your relationship, when everyone's honest, because now you know what he doesn't like and can get him something different next time. Also, if he didn't want to spend the money on another one, he's just looking out for you. I'd say be angry for a day and then see the good sides. Or the relationship will never work :(

Most guys do not wear a lot of jewelry. I personally don't like wearing it at all. I don't care what you're buying it for, if you get me any I am not going to wear it. I can see why you're mad, but think about how you'd feel if you got a present you would never use.

I understand the sentiment, but when I wanted to get my bf something engraved, I got a watch. Unless you've seen him wear bracelets before, it wasn't a very good gift, even if it did take some thought and effort. If you have seen him wear bracelets like that one before and this happened, then your life sucks. Otherwise, you kind of deserve it for not taking his preferences into account when buying a gift.
