My wife and I take separate vacations fairly regularly. We don't always care to partake in the same activities. She may want to go down to Florida and visit her parents and go to Disney while I may want to go on a fishing trip to the Allagash and hike Mount Katahdin. Definitely not odd for that to happen - marriage is not a shackle.
why shouldn't he go on vacation without her? maybe she had to work? maybe it was a vacation only with his friends? maybe they don't have to spend every vacation together? while going on a trip together can be a great experience, you dont have to do that always. spending time apart can make a relationship grow stronger - even though this didn't happen in OPs case...
You are so wrong #23. So, so wrong. I've been married nearly ten years and my wife and I take separate vacations fairly regularly. We don't always care to partake in the same activities. If you think closeness in a relationship means being stuck to your SO's butt like a leech you're probably a super possessive person. Marriage is not a shackle.
