Today, my boss had to leave the house for a little while. She asked me to take any messages she got. I answered the phone and lady calling said she was returning her call about the opening for a nanny position. I am the current nanny. I found out I am being fired by the new nanny. FML

That's one way to fire someone without dealing with the initial reaction... Get them to take your messages when you already know one of those messages will be from the replacement. xD Sorry to hear about your job though, srsly.

I had a similar experience to this. Found an ad for my nannying position... on the website that my employer had used to find ME in the first place. My resignation email began with a screen dump of the ad.

hahah stop taking messages =P

Mannn. When she does, tell that bitch off. I mean, If your not prepared or to her w/e she likes, don't be all blah from it. There's better people than her that will hire you. :D

LOL thats the worst you should have said he isnt looking for one anymore, or he already found one

That's pretty awful. What a pathetic way to let someone know that they're being replaced. Your boss should have at least had the guts to sit you down BEFORE allowing you to find out that way.

you should have called her the the new position had already been filled

And then quit. Let the bitch take care of her own kids while she looks for a new nanny.

ROFLMFAO #8 Sometimes I wish I could think of these responses when I was in tight spots of my own!

totally agree with #8, you just said what I where planning to say :D

tell them the position is already filled and then quit before they have the chance to fire you.

Ouch, that sucks! I agree with everyone saying to tell them the position's filled, and then quit before she can fire you. Serves that bitch right!
