Today, I went to see my grandmother. She has alzheimers and doesn't remember me sometimes, and today she thought I was her sister and that I was trying to steal my grandfather from her. She hit me with a cane and called me a slut. FML

Today, I was listening to music while my grandma and mom were in the same room. I only had one headphone in. My mom, thinking I had both in, started telling my grandma how much of a "little bitch" I am. My grandma went on to say, "She's also a slut." FML

Today, being the nice grandchild that I am, I went to visit my grandmother. She didn't recognise who I was. I thought she was joking. She later called the police as, "Some weirdo had walked into her house." I'm that weirdo; she wasn't joking. FML

Thank you! People need to think logically about what "fml" means on this site. People just get angry and go off on people without even thinking. Of course this counts as an fml because it was obviously an upsetting experience for the OP. I'm sure the OP doesn't blame her grandmother at all; she has a debilitating disease. That's not the point though. Not only was getting hit with a cane and called a **** by her grandma an upsetting experience, it must be a sad and upsetting experience in general to watch a loved one lose her memories and get so upset over a situation that isn't even really happening. This IS an FML and the OP in no way implied that her grandmother deserves some sort of blame for the incident. #10 you are an IDIOT.
