Today, I went to a wedding with my family. While the maid of honor was giving her non-heartfelt, three sentence speech, my mom and I started talking about how lame her speech was. When I turned around to look at my mom, I saw the camera recording the speech behind her. FML

No one said it was the maid of honors first speech. Honestly, most people can see the difference between nervousness/anxiety and something that just isn't heartfelt. I would have noticed and said something, too, but I would've checked to see if there was someone recording. I have to say YDI though, next time just check to see if you're being recorded.

Wow everyone here is so rude. It doesn't sound like the OP and her mum were really that close to the people getting married, so it's perfectly fine for them to make fun of a crappy wedding speech during a boring wedding. If my mum wasn't so damn nice I would probably have done the same thing.
