Today, I was visiting my grandmother's house. She keeps the thermostat on 85 and after about 30 minutes I explained to her "I'm going to have to leave, it's just too hot in here". She replied: "You think it's hot in here, wait until you get to hell." I laughed. She didn't. FML

Today, my mom made me go shopping with her. It was freezing out, but she didn't wear a coat, boasting that she doesn't feel the chill like I do. By the time we drove home she was whining about freezing to death, and now I'm stuck in a house whose heating is set to "inferno". FML

Today, my mom and I took my senile grandmother to the mall, since she doesn't get out much. She complained it was hot, then took her clothing off in the middle of the food court. It took us thirty minutes to make her put her shirt back on. FML

Today, I took my 6-year-old son to visit his grandmother, as the doctors say she only has days left to live. Minutes after we arrived, he leaned in close and told her that she's going to hell. FML

Today, I took my grandmother for a spin in my new car. Apparently, she had no idea that seat-warmers exist and that hers was turned on, because fifteen minutes into the ride she started shouting, "My ass is on fire!" causing me to swerve into a pole. FML

Today, my grandpa moved into the house to live with my family. Along with having to share a room with him, he swears that having the AC on will give him pneumonia, and he keeps saying he's "freezing" when the temperature inside gets below 85. We live in Nevada. FML

Today, I've been freezing in my office for days at work. When I finally complained about it to a coworker, she led me into my office, said, "Let me show you something," then pointed out the thermostat I'd never noticed was even there and turned it up with a pitying look. FML

Today, my grandmother, who I live with, turned the heat off in our house because she went through my private, personal notes on how I wanted to spend my paycheck, and she was mad that I used some of it to help the father of my not-yet-born child, who's struggling financially, make his car payments. FML

Today, after asking my family to quiet down at a restaurant, my mom told me to go outside. In 100+ degree weather. So I did, and after what seemed like an hour, my family ran out screaming because they thought I'd been kidnapped. I nearly got heatstroke to show my family that sensory overload is real. FML

#14: Perhaps at the moment, yeah I do. But its never the wrong time to spread both God's word AND common-sense logic at the same time, is it now? I just wanted to put some things in perspective. His grandma isnt harsh and evil for saying that; she would be harsh and evil to be a Christian who believes her grandson is going to hell, and then NOT say anything, thus assisting him in going to Hell! And remember- this is all relative to HER MIND. Just because you dont believe what she believes, doesn't mean you can discredit her good intentions based on that. Her beliefs and her will translate to her actions; you cannot judge another accurately, when you use your beliefs with their actions. At least, not when it regards religion. You see, its all in the logic. ======================= To the person who asked where the OP said that: once again, its all in the logic! If the OP DID believe in God, the thought would scare them. That would initiate one of 2 responses: either indignation/anger, or fear and trying to redeem themselves somehow. One would NOT LAUGH if he believed in Hell, and then someone told him he was giong there.
