Today, I was so tired, I passed out at work in the middle of a call. All because my neighbor's car alarm kept going off every 3 minutes all through the morning. It was still going when I left for work. If you see a news story in a few days about a whole neighborhood beating a guy to death, that's probably us. FML

Protip: If anybody needs a new car, I'd recommend finding out where the OP lives. There's apparently a car in their neighborhood with an alarm that is regularly ignored.

nice to see a community coming together

Steps for resolution once kinder measures have failed: 1. Break window 2. Pop hood 3. Remove battery

Amateur! Experts would Break car window Hotwire car Drive it into the ocean.

As your lawyer I must advise you to set the car on fire. There's less prison time involved.

I wonder if the neighbour is possibly out of town.

A lot of people don't realize that if it's after certain hours (i.e. Middle of the night), you can call the cops and they'll take care of it. Probably tow it and the owner might get a small fine. You don't have to suffer in silence. Make a complaint and hopefully the neighbor will learn to either fix his/her alarm or stop it when it goes off for no reason.

Even if it's not against the night noise ordinance, usually there is a day noise ordinance that would cover a repeated car alarm. In my town, if it goes off for more than an hour, you can call the police. I had to look into for a neighbors outside dogs once. Never stopped barking.

If only there was a site or app that allowed you to post stories about shitty things that happened in your life.

I feel like you could call the police and report it as a noise complaint. Especially if it was left on for a long period of time. You could try talking to the neighbor too because I'm sure you weren't the only one who heard it.
