Today, I was riding a longboard down a hill and I fell off. I was all scraped up so I made sure to clean my wounds and put bandages on them. Turns out I'm allergic to the glue on the bandages and I have itchy hives all over and around my open wounds. FML

ouch... It enought that they get itchy when they start to heal, i can't imagine having hives while they are still raw...

or it's a recently developed allergy. allergies can do that. A few years ago I developed an allergy to Neosporin that id never had before

How have you never known this until now? unless your using some revolutionary new band aid?

So this is the first time you ever got a scrape and had to put a band aid on it?

Owch... I am also allergic to bandaid adhesive... sucks to find that one out.

its not that uncommon for this, the band aid could have different chemicals in the glue which the op is allergic to. plus #10 im 17 and i havent used a bandaid since my mom stopped putting them on for me wich is probably 10 years.

20, how old are YOU to be so stupid? I know this seems like a CRAZY idea but maybe, just MAYBE, there is more than one type of bandage? OP: Wow that sucks. You might be able to sue them if they didn't say anything about allergies on the label. If not, that's even worse cause no one reads the labels on bandages.
