Today, I was rehearsing for a school play. My drama teacher keeps criticising the part where I fake-trip, saying I make it look terribly fake. During today's rehearsal, I actually tripped for real, and smashed my kneecaps against the floor with a scream. He still said my "acting" sucked. FML

When people are judging, they tend to show bias. He probably had the scene in his head and he wouldn't accept anything different.

Tell your teacher to get his act together cause he's tripping.

Think about tripping over his face! It always helps me to visualize something that I'd want in order to put some actual feeling into it!!

Acting is creating the illusion of tripping and hurting yourself. Actually tripping and hurting yourself is not even acting, because you can't do that night after night.

That's some falling out you're having with your teacher.

Push him and make him fall so you can get a better idea of what he considers "good acting".

'Those who can't do something well enough Teach' Or so I have heard, seen, participated in.

Even if you fall for real, it doesn't mean it will look good on scene.
