Today, I was pulled over by the police. The cop was my ex-boyfriend. He had no legitimate reason to pull me over, so he thoroughly checked my car. He gave me a defect notice and a fine. What for? A broken door lock, on my rear passenger door. FML

Report his bacon ass! He shouldn't abuse his power

Isn't that unlawful harassment? If you can prove you had a relationship and he's bitter, you should sue him and the city! Cha-ching!!! $$$

You should let him do a body search inspection

Most cops in the states have to go through a psychological screening. I'm not sure about you Aussies though, maybe if he did then there is another underlying issue. Examples being that you were either a big cheater or drug user and he wanted to make sure. Still would have been better with a good reason to pull you over.

No one said that OP's ex was psychotic, so I don't believe a screening would have done anything.

or that she was a cheater or drug user...wtf??

It's obvious all cops are drug users. We all know what happens in the evidence room when there is cocaine and marijuana.

sure he pulled you over for no legitimate reason. that's what everyone says....

If he had a legitimate reason to pull her over why did he have to find that lock as a reason to write a ticket? You know, because he couldn't just write a speeding ticket, huh?

Doesn't court cost more than her ticket?
