Today, I took a test. I got up to turn it in, and accidentally bumped into another student. We both whispered, "Sorry." Our teacher promptly gave us detention and a 0% on the test for talking. Sorry for being sorry? FML

Some people go into teaching because they actually want to educate people and help their minds grow. Some people go into teaching because they're authoritarian shitbirds who just want an excuse to bully students.

Obviously "sorry" was code for 1) is A, 2) is ths Gettysburg address, and 3) is 53.6. Your teacher saw right through your sneakiness.

Speak to your principal/head teacher about that. Request to re-take the test and have all further assignments graded by a third party. DO NOT LET YOUR TEACHER BULLY YOU

Did you explain yourselves? I hate teachers who just jump to conclusions like that.

How was the teacher jumping to conclusions. You aren't allowed to talk during tests, period.

Oh I don't know, immediately assuming students were cheating is the very definition of jumping to conclusions.

Two students got up to turn their already finished test in. It doesn't take a genius to conclude that those two words could not retroactively impact their test. If they were seated and whispering, I'd understand, but this is just overreacting.
