Today, I showed my daughter video footage from a security camera that showed her using her employee key to enter the store I own, disarming the alarm, and stealing several very valuable items. Her defense? That someone had "photoshopped" the video. We'll see how that goes down in court. FML

Having to take your own child to court can't be easy, so I'm sorry it's reached this point, OP. Hopefully everything will work itself out, and you and your daughter can make amends. Definitely change the alarm code though.

While editing vids is possible, I doubt its fake. Sorry OP.

She meant video shopped. Nah pretty much she's ******.

Videoshop isn't a thing. Doing that will require the video to be split into images and one by one edit it. This requiring some expertise.

Actually, it is. Think of an action movie.

what a dummy. Hope that'll teach her not to do stupid shit.

I wouldn't say dummy, more like an idiot. she works there so she should know that there are cameras there.

Probably thought being the owner's daughter gave her immunity. Good on OP for showing her that her assumption was wrong.

That's awful OP. I hope everything gets sorted out in court. Good luck with your future relationship with your daughter.

There isn't much of a relationship if his daughter is stealing from the family store.

Sorry to hear that you need to take your own kid to court =(. Genuine FML.

Will she be taking the stand or something? That video is all you need...

likely OP is taking thier daughter to court for stealing from them and showed the video to her to show they have evidence of them stealing.

Glad that you're not letting her get away with it just because she's your daughter. I'm sure it's incredibly difficult on you though, sorry OP.

Sorry to hear it has reached that point. I'd avoid taking a child of mine to court at all costs if possible, but some people are just "problem people" and quite frankly they get what they deserve. Again, sorry you have to do this to your own child, but I'm sure she's left you no other choice. Hopefully she'll learn from this.

Some people turn out this way because their parents avoid taking them to court at all costs.

That sucks that it came so far to involve the court. Hope everything works out smoothly and this doesn't ruin your mother-daughter relationship!

Depending on the type of guy, they still might have a mother-daughter relationship.
