Today, I realized that my mom talks to me with the exact same tone of voice she uses for my little cousin. I’m 23 and my cousin is 2. FML

My mom does the same thing. I’ve talked to her about it and she still doesn’t realize when she’s doing it

You'll always be her baby. My mom calls me constantly and doesn't call my other three YOUNGER siblings as much. It's just how some moms are 🤷🏽‍♀️

Not really an FML she’s your mom and if your still on her health insurance then YDI

She sees you as her little baby and doesn't like the idea of you flying the nest maybe

Coochie, coochie, coochie! Who’s the cutest little OP here? Who is the cutest? You are! You are! Yesss!

No offense, but the first thing that sprang to mind when I read this was the scene in Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, the one where he calls the elephant over to sit on the dude's car.

Maybe OP's mom just speaks to 2 year olds using standard adult speech, and OP doesn't like it. Did anyone consider that as a possible interpretation?

So she talks to both of you normally, hallelujah

You noticed this at age 23. Looks like mom is justified.
