Every prostitute I ever talked to, was a nice person who had children, brothers, sisters and parents.
I wouldn't want my daughters to be prostitutes, or my sisters or my mother. I wouldn't buy their services myself.
But I do think, that the real FML goes to your sister, who is not only doing a widely sought after service, a very tough job, but is also condemned by society and family.

That’s why I think the laws about sex work have the wrong focus. It punishes women, who are already in a very vulnerable position, are treated horrybly by the ”buyers”, and are financially depending on the work they do. It should be the buyers who should be punished. They are paying for consent, which means what they are doing is paying to rape someone. They are buying their right to someone elses body and it’s reduces the women to an object you can buy.

Where I'm from, the police frequently do prostitution stings, arrest the "buyers", and even publicly post photos of the ones arrested attempting to buy sex. It's not just the prostitutes who get arrested.

paying for sex is in no way rape. if you receive consent, it isn't rape. that is a stupid as hell take.

They are willingly going through sex with someone for money. That is not rape.

they should just decriminalize prostitution. there are too many prudes who think they can tell someone what they can/cannotndo with their body
