I totally understand how you feel...I found out the guy that I am in love with thinks he is sorta gay and I actually think I would prefer him being gay than with another girl.

@6: It hurts to be on the other end, but sometimes some experimentation is needed before you know what your sexuality is. Why does that make him a douche? Maybe your ex was playing with your emotions (two years is an awfully long time to experiment with just one person), but the OP? I don't think that's necessarily true.

Either way, I'd be happy for him. I accidentally set up a crush like that, except it was with another girl instead. He still doesn't know I like him...but at least he's happy.

Haha.... same thing happened to me. My bf of two years broke it off because he was "confused." You didn't do anything to him; he's just like that. And by that, I mean a douche bag. Because seriously, there's a difference between doing what makes you happy, and then playing with someone's emotions and being irresponsible about it. But oh well. Nothing to do except look back and laugh about it. Cheers.

I don't believe that being homosexual makes a person a 'douche bag' at all. It isn't his fault that he is gay. He didn't choose to be gay. Personally, I'm all for gay marriage, and I wouldn't call anyone participating in a homosexual wedding a 'douche bag'

@35 I don't think 6 meant he is a douche bag because he's gay but instead that he's a douche bag for having a heterosexual relationship when he knew he's gay. Still it seems like the op called him gay because he's dating a guy now but gay and straight aren't the only options here. The guy could be BI for something.

I am so sorry. It would suck to have a guy leave because he is gay. But there are plenty of more fish in the sea, and many that are much finer than him I bet. ;)
