what kind of douchefag are you? "Not being thoughtful enough"??
I'm telling you SURPRISE PARTIES SUCK! To make the surprise work, the girlfriend had to pretend to be thoughtless for the weeks leading up to his birthday. Her acting was all too convincing and she got her ass dumped. The concept may sound harmless enough, but it really is a secretive, behind-the-back conspiratorial plot involving lies, deception and misdirection. In reality, surprise parties are creepy, and whoever plots them deserves the blowback.
.. Just because she threw him a party doesn't exactly make her the most perfect girlfriend ever. She could still be very unthoughtful, and doing one thing isn't going to cover a relationship for years. It still probably wouldn't have worked out if he thought it in the first place. Yeah, she proved him wrong. But when is she going to be thoughtful again? At his next birthday? Never? And you know girls like to bring shit up like, "Remember that one time.." So really you should stop calling him a dick just because he broke up with his girlfriend, what the ****. You pissy heartbroken girls are making other ones look bad :(
Sounds like she wants you back. I agree with 29, the rest of you need to calm the **** down. One thoughtful act does not fix an entire relationships' worth of selfish thoughtlessness. I personally would tell her it's too little, too late. Just imagine if the roles were reversed - all of her girlfriends' would be saying how it was too late for him and he should have treated her well when he had the chance. Damn hypocrites.
I agree with 30 and 29. But a majority of the FML users don't clearly think straight (both posters and commentators) and attempt to understand all angles.
