Today, I checked my bank account that i've been saving money in since I was a kid for college. I have $100 left out of the $10,000 I had last month. Apparently my parents thought buying a pool and an HDTV for themselves was more important than my college education. FML

Sue. Sure, they're your parents, but God, being inconsiderate like that. It's your future.

That really ought to be illegal. You get screwed if your parents don't meet their financial aid obligations for your education, so there should be some legal requirement for your parents to meet those obligations.

I'm curious about how you could buy a pool with under $10,000...aren't they supposed to be around $35-50,000?

Kill em and take the life insurance.

plus I'm pretty sure $10,000 won't get u through a whole semester considering 1 semester IS $10,000

#2.. you said it all

It's called breach of trust. Parent or no, you can wring them dry. ^.^ Law is fun, it lets you F*** people over worse than getting them a Brittney Spears album for their birthday. ^.^ BURN! But seriously. SUE.

That's simply not possible. I refuse to believe.

Yeah but he can't chose his parents.

he probably had no choice. minors can't open back accounts without a parent as a joint holder giving that parent access to the account until the cold turns 18

a pool and an HDTV for under 10k? i doubt it.. idk about this fml..

Unless you guys are sharing an account, they can't take out the money. Can't trust anyone other than yourself with money these days.

parents usually have access to ur bank account. I know because my mom has complete control over mine
