Today, I awoke to the pain of appendicitis. Apparently it isn't a good enough reason to miss court. I now have a warrant out for my arrest. FML

The dutiful citizen let's nothing stop in his way of justice, not even death itself! But for real, I hope they accept a doctor's note.

If it happened the day of and you couldn't give notice they would issue it. But im like 99% sure it will be resolved the moment you give them proof.

The police can be such a pain, nothing a doctor's note won't be able to fix!

You do realize the police don't issue the warrants right? It's the judge that does that.

Be ready for the opposition to object vigorously. They got an easy win, and most likely won't want to give it up.

Lawyer to get initial opinion.Hospital records and Dr. diagnosis give to judge at first court appearance.

You'll be fine once you show a Doctors note, or the statement date of surgery. Don't sweat it. My MIL was summoned to court, but had two children at home, one still nursing so she never showed. She had a warrant out for her arrest too, but just waited 7 years. It's only a problem if you run into the law! :D

This YDI depends on whether or not you actually went to the Dr. If you did, FYL get a note to prove you were there. If you just sat in pain at home, rather than sitting in pain in court, then YDI.

when I had it my mom refused to pick me up from school, claiming I was just being petty. Had to walk an agonizing 20 minutes home. feel better soon OP! it sucks!

Did you inform them of your absence?
