You might want to have some people review your resume to see if something is wrong with it that you don’t see. Also try to tailor your resume for each application instead of making a generic one. When submitting an application, remember to call about a week afterwards to politely remind them that you exist and that you are still interested in the position. If you have an interview, it’s very professional to send a follow up email later that same day thanking the interviewer for the opportunity.

Also it’s not a bad thing that if you get rejected to ask the interviewer or whoever sent the notice “what can I improve to better my chances for next time?” But do it in a way that doesn’t come off as desperate or spiteful.

You don’t want to work for a company that’s so careless and sloppy.

I wonder if it’s that company whose incompetent new management “forgot” to pay the workers for five weeks!

Recruitment agents exist. I wonder how hard-up you must be to find work, if it's taken you a year to find something. I'm sure McDonalds or BK is hiring. Oh wait, you don't want something "beneath" you to get in money during this period.
