Today, a middle-aged woman came into the shoe shop where I work, and asked me to help her put on a pair of boots that were obviously too small. Simultaneously as I knelt down by her feet, she booted me in the face while we tried to get them on. FML

If they were knee-high boots, it could be that her calves were too big and most shoe stores don't carry wide-calf boots. If she was a large woman, she might be offended at being told her legs were too big.

Sadly insecurities make some women buy things that aren't made for their body type. Unfortunately this causes negative remarks which makes them even more insecure and buy more unflattering things. It's a spiral of lowering self esteem.
