Student's Paper Goes Viral For Hilarious Mistake
You know what? We get it. College can be an insane blur of papers, projects, clubs, and events (if you even have time for that) but sometimes an innocent mistake like this is just too funny to not share.
Who among us hasn't tossed together a rough draft of an assignment? Sometimes you've just got to get it on paper before you can fact check and spell check and smooth out all the wrinkles. The key? Proofread every square inch of that thing before submitting it. This was Zoey Oxley's mistake.

You know how you often have to write the course and professor's name at the top of an assignment? She'd written "Professor whats his nuts" instead of his name and forgot to edit it before submitting the work. She did her best to remedy the situation, sending the professor a polite apology note right away:
I am writing this email very embarrassingly. As I began writing my paper, I wrote out the template. Unfortunately, I could not remember your last name, so I filled it with something completely unprofessional. It was my intention to change the name before submission, but it completely slipped my mind. I attempted to resubmit the assignment but was unable to. I am so very sorry for the lack of respect that was used and again I apologize for this mistake. I hope that this does not reflect what you think of me and that the next assignment I can address by the correct name.
Thank you again and I am so sorry.
Good try, Zoey, but of course it couldn't end there. In case you didn't check out all the images in her viral tweet, take a look at this one now. "Professor whats his nuts" aka John Hendel shared his piece on Twitter as well... He even went so far as to change his Twitter handle!
A student emailed me, profusely apologizing for getting my name wrong at the top of their paper, and I was like, “Thanks, whatever, nbd.” Then I got to their paper and saw their instructor was “Professor whats his nuts”— Professor whats his nuts (@Hendyhendel) September 19, 2018
Welcome to the modern age, folks. Everyone and their mother is online now! At least the professor had a good enough attitude to joke about it online. Besides, everyone knows the best FML includes a follow-up! What was your biggest homework mistake?
