Somebody Pointed Out That Everyone's Nature Shots On Instagram Are Exactly The Same And Now You Won't Be Able To Unsee It

Ah, the great outdoors. Wait, where have I seen that exact tree before? FML.

An anonymous 27-year-old from Anchorage, Alaska, has created the hilarious Instagram account "Insta Repeat," and it's exactly what you think it is.

“A purpose of Insta Repeat is to critique originality in media creation through the lens (pun intended) of this one ‘genre’ of Instagram photography accounts.” the filmmaker and artist told Photoshelter

“I have noticed it in general on a lot of different platforms and media and have been guilty of it myself for sure,” she said in an interview with Bored Panda. “Artists and creators fall into patterns. But I think that what is happening on Instagram is more extreme.”

Well, at least she can admit that she too is guilty of falling into the repitition trap, as is pretty much everyone. But, that doesn't mean that we won't be laughing about it regardless. So, why is it just nature shots? Is it just something about the great outdoors that is blocking everyone's creativity?

“I chose the outdoorsy type to focus on because I see it a lot because of where I live but more importantly because I think think the "genre" celebrates a "free" and "authentic" lifestyle that is antithetical to the sameness of all the photos,” she said.

Outdoorsy photo or not, they are definitely funny. Check them out below.

I guess yea? but just because someone has been there before doesn't mean you can't share a photo to your friends and followers your experience there. Thats all it really is just a memory of a great adventure.

None of those people think that they're being world-changingly original or artistic, they just want to take some photos of the nice places they have been and show them off. They don't know how to frame a photo, so they fall back on what they have seen before. Do we really care?
