Moral of the story: don't be a weirdo

Today, I ran into an old coworker. Several years ago, he had a creepy, obsessive crush on me. Now, he's lost over a hundred pounds, makes over twice as much as me, and isn't a complete weirdo anymore. I asked him if he wanted to get a drink sometime and 'catch up'. "Nah, I'm good." FML

Just living out the old cliché: "If you can't handle me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best." Plus, be honest, you're both probably dodging a bullet. What's to say he'll always be like that? If he gains the weight back or loses his job, would you still be interested? What if he's still a good bit quirky but just in better shape now?

You expect him to feel the same way about you after several years?

You sound like a shallow gold digger.

was he really creepy, or was he just too fat for you? if he wasn't good enough then, he doesn't want to spend money on you now

It's because he was fat and you were shallow. Now he can get any girl he wants.

As a fat, poor person I am deeply offended.

Kinda have a feeling he maybe wasn't such a weirdo in the first place, you just weren't interested. And that's fine. Don't know why you thought his interest would be everlasting...
