Hello little dude

Today, I was about to get in the shower, when I felt an odd itch in my navel. I saw what I thought was bellybutton lint, so I pulled on it, and quickly realized what I had between my fingers was a still-squirming, headless tick. FML

I hope you realize....... The head's still in there somewhere, and it will re-grow its body eventually.

Yeah, a shower could do you some good

That's just horrific. I can't even find words for how badly I would freak out in a situation like that.

Dang you better get some tick medicine and bathe in that shit.....

You need to visit the doctors ASAP. You could get tick paralysis or worse, Lyme disease.

Yep I have lyme disease too go get tested

Op might if they can't get the head out themselves... But a tick needs to be bitten in at least 24 hours to transmit Lyme or any other tick bourne disease. Unless you develop a bulls eye rash or other signs of a tick illness you don't need treatment for a tick bite

Are you sure it was headless. The heads are hard to see. Also if you just pulled it off with your fingers it was not attached most likey.

Nah I pull them out with my fingers all the time. You don't need tweezers or matches or anything else. Just grab hold and pull- close to the head so it comes with the tick. They aren't that hard to remove. :p

Swimming, hiking, and tent-pitching. They're not biting. I'm not itching. Can't wait to show you all my new tricks. Thanks again for sending me K9 Advantix. :)

I could've gone my whole life just fine without reading that.
