Every Member of One Direction Being Nominated For Best Solo Breakout Artist Is Cruel And Hilarious And Fans Don’t Know How to React

The iHeartRadio Awards, which will be broadcast in March, released their nominees on Wednesday and one category was particularly shocking. There are five nominees for “Best Solo Breakout Artist,” and four of them are all four member of the recently-paused British boy band, One Direction. The fifth nominee is popstar Camila Cabello.
I know what you’re thinking, “but isn’t there another member; where’s he?” These are all the members of One Direction after the departure of Zayn Malik, who’s probably laughing at the battle his former bandmates are stuck in now.
This is a cruel twist of fate for the heartthrobs, who are now vying to be more popular than the rest in what is literally a popularity contest. The category is ‘socially voted, meaning it’s up to fans to get their favorite member to win. For hardcore fans, who are somehow invested in this band enough to not want to offend a single member, this is no easy decision.
Since the nominees were announced, people having been giving voice to their existential crisis on the social media platform made for doing just that: Twitter. Here are some of their mixed emotions.
Being an One Direction stan is stressful these days

Maybe this will spark a reunion? Who knows, and who cares. We certainly don’t. Keep in mind, this is an award show with a category dedicated to "Cutest Musician's Pet." This is clearly where we should be focusing our attention.
