England Fan Realizes He Left His FIFA Ticket At Home After Flying All The Way To Russia

Douglas Moreton might have the FML of the year. According to The Daily Mail, after traveling over 2,000 miles to Nizhny Novgorod to watch the England vs Panama game, he realized, much to late of course--- that he had left his ticket at home in his drawer in Bristol.
Douglas ran into TV News editor Dan Howells who was staying in the same hotel as him, and though the kind soul tried to help him, believe it or not, the story just gets so much worse.
This is Douglas. He was at our hotel in Volgograd. We’ve just bumped in to him in Nizhny Novgorod & he’s realised he’s left his match tickets in the drawer at home in Bristol. If anyone’s got a spare one let me know. #EngPan pic.twitter.com/4zDA5aNvZa

Believe it or not, the kind stranger was actually able to find Douglas a spare ticket.
DOUGLAS UPDATE. The lads from @sport_options have found him a ticket but now we can’t find him. If anyone spots him, tell him I’ve left a message at his hotel reception.

...Unfortunately, Douglas was nowhere to be found.
Not long left now people. We’ve got Douglas a ticket but urgently need to find him. If you clock him, tell him to get to his hotel reception, pronto. #DiscoverDouglas pic.twitter.com/Zf8h7WiTIJ

And just when you think his luck couldn't get any worse?
I’m afraid he only got back to his hotel 40 mins before kick off. Couldn’t get to the stadium in time to pick the ticket up.

This story is really so sad. Just look at poor Dougie's face. It's actually so pitiful and adorable, that it really pulls at the heartstrings. Our only hope now, as The Loop says, is that Douglas's story gets enough viral attention that Team England will hear about it and hook him up with tickets for the next game. Here's hoping!
