England Fan Realizes He Left His FIFA Ticket At Home After Flying All The Way To Russia

We crown you, sir, King FML.

Douglas Moreton might have the FML of the year. According to The Daily Mail, after traveling over 2,000 miles to Nizhny Novgorod to watch the England vs Panama game, he realized, much to late of course--- that he had left his ticket at home in his drawer in Bristol.

Douglas ran into TV News editor Dan Howells who was staying in the same hotel as him, and though the kind soul tried to help him, believe it or not, the story just gets so much worse.

Believe it or not, the kind stranger was actually able to find Douglas a spare ticket.

...Unfortunately, Douglas was nowhere to be found.

And just when you think his luck couldn't get any worse?

This story is really so sad. Just look at poor Dougie's face. It's actually so pitiful and adorable, that it really pulls at the heartstrings. Our only hope now, as The Loop says, is that Douglas's story gets enough viral attention that Team England will hear about it and hook him up with tickets for the next game. Here's hoping!

That's what happens when you steal someone's chicken nuggets and fly across the world to get away.

Did he not know an editor put a post out on social media asking for a spare ticket? You'd think he's give him his contact information in case someone responded. Then he could have gotten back to the hotel in plenty of time. Or better yet, if it's that important, remember the ticket. First thing I grab when I'm leaving is the ticket, coupon, whatever.
