Ask the reason first

Today on the way to work a homeless man approached me and asked from some change, I politely rejected his request and kept on walking. He then shouted at me, called me cheap, and he threw up on me! I had to go back home and get changed, as a result, I was late for work, and my boss was yelled at me because of it. FML

I'll bet he was just Hungary.

How often do you use that pun in your country? I'll bet it's multiple times a day!

(To all you humorless fucks out there, I'm aware they speak Magyar in Hungary and it's very unlikely that the name of their country is a homophone of "hungry." This is just a little joke for English speakers.)

Just do what I do! Answer in another language! It baffles the requester so much it gives you time to walk away, or they realize they can't communicate with you and give up.

My personal favorite to use is: すみません、私は英語を話せません。
(Sumimasen, eigo wa hanasemasen.)
