Today, I bought my cats two new litter boxes in hopes that they would use them. They still prefer to pee on the clothes in my closet. FML

No, not shaking it. You have to hold the cat with one hand, and yank it down with the other. If too fat you may need two people.

You usually don't have to train cats because they automatically like to use something soft and loose to go in so they can bury their feces. If they go in the ops clothes then make sure the clothes are put away or where they can't reach, and make sure they know where the litter box is. If it stills goes on then take them to a vet because it could be caused by a urinary infection or constipation.

by training it all u an do is just show them the box. if they continue to not use it, make them outdoor cats. some cats are just retarded and don't get the fact that they are suppose to poop in that little box and not all over everything.

Put tin foil inside your closet/outside the door. My cat sometimes decides to take a nice shit on the carpet if the litter box is full. Anyways we put tin foil down where she likes to poop and it's stopped her(cats don't like it for some reason).

Am I reading this wrong or did you say that your cat ***** on your carpet when the box is full? You've also apparently found a way to stop her, indicating repeated attempts, indicating repeated occurrences, indicated a repeatedly unclean liter box. Looks like captain obvious has a point :)

My cats won't use a litter tray once it has been used. If one pees in a tray the others won't use it. If all three are in overnight I quite often wake up to find a little gift in the bath, I'd have to have 6 trays to stop it. Cats are VERY fussy about where they do their business!

you can't "train" a cat to use the litter box, nimrod. cats will generally use it on their own if u show it to the from a kitten. if it doesn't then hang up your shit or make it an outdoor cat.
