Today, I recieved a phone call to say I had gotten a job I really needed. Half an hour later, they called again to tell me that they had made a mistake and only one position was available. They gave it to the other candidate, but told me I shouldn't be upset because "I was almost successful". FML

1) Very unprofessional of them. Sorry you had to face that. And you really needed that job too. Really hope you can find a better job than this unprofessional place 2) You have every right to feel bad about losing it. Don't let them take that away from you. It's sad that they first call you to say yes, then they call you to say no AND claim that you shouldn't "feel bad". Honestly, whoever this person was, they don't have a clue on how to provide service. I wonder why THEY are working there.
