It's a rough job market out there. Just bide your time, something is bound to come your way. Just remember this isn't the end of the line for you friend.

I'm having the same issue! But I don't have any university/college qualifications, it's just the lack of experience I have.

This happens to so many people, it sucks. Keep trying, eventually you'll get a nice job.

All you can do is keep trying. People only worry about over-qualification because they think you'll quickly move on to something more in keeping with your training so when you get an interview try to stress that you intend to stay with them for a good while. Good luck!

It's either underqualification or overqualification, it seems. I suppose the best you can do is gather some dough doing the Walmart gig, then bounce when you get a better opportunity.

I know it sucks, but keep looking for a job that's a good fit for you. In the meantime, work at Walmart. There is absolutely no shame, especially in this job market, working minimum wage if that's what you can find. I have hope in you, OP!

Drop something like this into your next interviews: "I have had several interviews for positions similar to the one we are meeting about today, and I'm hearing back that I am deemed to be overqualified. I want you to know that I am aware of the responsibilities and compensations that go along with the position we are both looking to fill, and I both can and would like to do the work. If I am in some way overqualified, you can look at that as a bargain for the company and know that, when I am hired, you will have an employee who will bring more to the position than the minimum requirements." This has worked for me on several occasions.

If you go into Wally World you can tell them you don't need extra pay with you're qualifications as they are probably thinking you'd ask for some because of you "over qualification"
